Everything You Need to Know About the Vet Franchise Program
Let’s consider a familiar scenario to many of our soldiers that have made their way home after a few deployments. Our soldier left soon after graduating high school, with that familiar call to service that many of our beloved soldiers have. Over the years, this soldier has grown during this time and seen and experienced a lot of things that many of us will never encounter in our lifetime.
The Homecoming
Nonetheless, the first two months are wonderful. Our soldier is elated gets to catch up with his friends at the many backyard barbeques nearly every weekend to celebrate his homecoming. Everyone is coming around to visit!
Now, there isn’t a whole lot to spend money on in the desert, so our soldier has quite the savings of funds waiting for him, too. A new car is definitely in order. Perhaps a nice splurge like the latest video game system is also appropriate. This can be entertaining for a short time without having any obligations. That decompression time is an essential step into civilian life.
Next Step - Normalcy
As the friends and family return to their normal lives, our soldier must find his new normal, but what comes next? A college is an option, or maybe tech school, or what about re-enlistment. Very few return home thinking about opening a business. What do they know about business anyway? Few know how potentially REAL entrepreneurship can be for them and that there is a franchise program tailored for our Veterans. They are, in fact, in the perfect transition in life to start a new business with the right guidance.
Becoming an Entrepreneur
Providing guidance is where the value comes in with a franchise opportunity - a proven model of success with a defined path to their success. Depending on the business and requirements, our Veterans could be pleasantly surprised to discover that they have the capital required to open their franchise, or at the very least the down payment. The VetFran program has hundreds of participating franchises that value the leadership or our Veteran soldiers have developed in their years of service.
VetFran is a program with a mission to educate veterans and franchisors about the perfect match between the skills and aptitude of the entrepreneurial-minded Veteran the demands of being a franchisee. Their site is full of support and resources for a Vet to make that next important step to propel their life forward.
To make the process of investing in a franchise easier, the next step is to involve a Franchise Consultant like Hundred Acre Consulting. In their portfolio of over 500 franchise options, 364 of them are VetFran participants. A consultant works at no cost to the Vet, and they are in their corner through every step of the process.
